Paper Flowers Workshop
Saturday 24th August 11.00am -1.00pm
Learn how to make some paper flowers using dyed crepe
paper and glue, we will create delicate wildflowers that are
beautiful, observing closely the shapes, colours and patterns
in nature.
Floral Monogram Embroidery Workshop
Saturday 24 th August 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Learn how to cross-stitch a floral monogram based on beautiful vintage patterns.
Wet Felted Flower Workshop
Sunday 25th August 11.00-1.00
Learn wet felting technique to create a felted flower using merino wool and silks, we will create a flower that can be made into a brooch or placed in a vase, exploring shapes, colours, texture and patterns.
Vegetable Planting and Growing Workshop

Learn how to plant and grow your own vegetables with the Sow Grateful team
A Belfast 2024 project funded by Belfast City Council and National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The OTR team has been collaborating with various groups at the Black Mountain Shared Space Project, including Newhill Youth Club, Upper Springfield Development Trust, Forth Spring Interface Group, and Gortnamonagh Men's Shed.
These workshops have been a crucial part of developing the ROOTS project, significantly influencing the garden design and providing inspiration for the live shows.
We have thoroughly enjoyed building these relationships with the Black Mountain community and look forward to the next phase of the participation program.
